I like to think that showing people I’m grateful to and for them will help make their lives a little bit sweeter, but there is no doubt I benefit, too. I can already sense a difference in myself during the first 10 days of this month of gratitude. Consciously expressing gratitude makes me realize just how much good I have in my life and how lucky I am to be surrounded by people who care.
Being grateful can make us happier because we focus on what we have, not what we don’t have. It is the ultimate “glass half full” exercise. So, pour a little gratitude into your glass and toast to being happier.
