Day 253 of #LiveWell2017
As I write this, Hurricane Irma is bearing down on SW Florida. I lived there for 33 years. I still have many friends there, most of whom have evacuated or are safe in shelters. Like millions of others, my thoughts and heart are with all those folks today as it takes the full brunt of this storm. No doubt, there will be extensive damage, many homes lost, and lives disrupted. It is times like this that remind us that everything is impermanent. Nothing remains the same.
That may not lessen the heartache of loss, but it is the only thing that we can count on – everything changes. Being able to find moments of peace amid the chaos is the only way to cope. So, take a deep breath and find a quiet moment.
This, too, shall pass.
So true, Deb – nothing is permanent. It’s only for now. Still hoping that our house won’t be affected by the storm surge…. Greetings from Monroeville, Alabama.
