Are you thankful for the beauty of nature?

Day 83 of #LiveWell2017

Day 83 beauty of nature

Yesterday, we hiked the Little North Santiam River Trail. Our time on the trail, among waterfalls and mossy forests, reminded me just how much my health and well-being is connected to the time I spend in nature. It is where I go to find peace, to heal, to contemplate, to marvel, and to enjoy the unique beauty that our natural world provides.

I have many favorite natural places to wander and wonder. Like the CREW Marsh Trails in Florida,  the PCT to Bald Mountain near Mt. Hood, and Neahkahnie Mountain on the Oregon Coast. Each one has special memories and meaning and its own power to inspire healing and creativity in me. Each experience in nature becomes a part of who I am, and I am so very thankful for each of them.

Do you have a favorite natural place? Where is it?
