So long, 2021. It’s been a heck of a year. Amid the heartache and tragedy, challenges and risks, we’ve also seen beautiful sunrises, felt deep love, learned to live more deliberately, and grown more aware of the temporary nature of our human lives. With gratitude and grace, we welcome the new year and wish all of you much peace and happiness during the days to come.
Today would have been John Denver’s 78th birthday, so I’ll simply leave you with this song to ring in the new year.
Happy New Year, dear ones.
Let there be peace in your heart.
My first 8-track tape (google it, kids) was John Denver:)
Good for you! My first public performance as a singer was Sunshine on my shoulders!
Thanks, Deb. You may or may not know that my next (actually continuing project from pre-pandemic) is to record me doing a live John Denver tribute concert of 12 or so songs plus my John Denver tribute song, ‘A Rocky Mountain Memory.’ Love your blog. Thoughtful, artistic, poetic and inspirational always!
I know how much you love John’s music, Joe, and look forward to hearing your tribute album! Thanks for reading and sharing your thoughts here.
