Day 365 Just be 2018

Happy New Year’s Eve to you…we say goodbye to 2017 and hello to a new year tonight. So, now what?  Well, I’m putting the #LiveWell2017 project to rest. It was a grand experiment and served its purpose of keeping me focused on positive things and self-improvement throughout the year. My goal for 2018 is simple – just to be. I am not setting a blogging goal or a physical challenge goal or any major accomplishment goals for 2018.

Instead, I’m going to wake up every day, smile into the sunrise, and live fully, calmly, and lovingly in each moment. I am going to just be.

One thing that will help me do that is to embrace simplicity and honor my inner minimalist. The first of the year is a great time to declutter. I’ve already cleaned out my inbox (from 6,734 messages down to 47). I’m deleting little used social media accounts. I’m clearing off my desk. I’m making space to be present, to be creative, to be helpful, to connect with others, and to live life well each day.

What will you do with your 1,440 minutes a day during 2018?


  1. I’m working on becoming a minimalist in physical, emotional and digital clutter. I’m only surrounding myself with things that make me happy including people and thoughts 🙂
