Make December a month of giving from your heart

Day 335 of #LiveWell2017

Day 335 GIVE from the heart

Welcome to December! This month I will be writing about the act of giving. I’ve spent the year working on and writing about how to #LiveWell by being mindful, grateful, kind, and generous. Since December is traditionally a big month for giving gifts, I want to share some ideas for different ways to give.

Anyone who knows me knows that I am a minimalist at heart, and I truly do not advocate buying things or spending money on stuff you don’t need or want. We don’t need to waste resources (natural, financial, or human) on anything that isn’t essential to creating the simplest life we love. So, this month, I’m going to share 28 ways to give that will help make the world a more kind, loving, sustainable place. Some of them are simple acts of kindness, others are ways to use your dollars to double or triple your impact, and some are just fun ways to show someone you care.

No one should feel obligated to buy gifts or to donate to a cause. The giving should come from your heart, your soul, your genuine interest in serving, helping, improving the life of someone else.

“It’s not how much we give but how much love we put into giving.” ― Mother Teresa

No matter when or how or what you give, remember to always listen to your heart, give with your heart, give with love and compassion and a true desire to improve the lives of others. Welcome to the month of giving…

      • Deb, you are the type of person one has an easy time supporting and encouraging because your words, thoughts, deeds are pure. I want to get those ideas out there. It’s the kurmudgeons I have difficulties with, lol! And don’t we all! I just do my best to NOT be a kurmudgeon, and on most days I succeed in that effort. I truly do appreciate your words, I can’t say that enough. You have so much to offer our world. Namaste.
