Day 170 of #LiveWell2017
You might remember my post last month about Marvin. Well, today I reconnected with Marvin and in our brief exchange he warmed my heart once more with a story and his genuineness. He also made me laugh again.
When I think of the very special friends I’ve made through the years and across the miles, I sometimes wonder at the circumstances that brought us together, but I never question what keeps us friends. It is genuine caring, respect, kindness, and sharing. Good friends warm your heart and accept you for who you are, blemishes and all. Friends become a part of you. I am so grateful for my friends, new and old.
“Life is partly what we make it, and partly what it is made by the friends we choose.”
– Tennessee Williams
What makes someone a friend for you?
Someone who is a kid at heart, has a twinkle in their eyes, and smiles when they see me.
Love that, Carolyn. 🙂
