Day 154 of #LiveWell2017
Living well in a place includes living sustainably, with as small an ecological footprint as possible. It also means advocating for actions that minimize our long-tern impact and protect the place for future generations. In light of yesterday’s announcement that the US will pull out of the Paris Climate Accord, I am deeply grateful for the many people and agencies that continue working toward solutions to our damaging human-induced rate of climate change.
Fearless leaders like the governors of California, New York, and Washington, agencies like 350.org, activists like Bill McKibben, businesses and churches that are divesting from fossil fuels, and every single individual who acts in small ways each day to lower their carbon emissions. None of us are perfect, but each of us can do something. Thank you to those who believe in science, believe in acting for the good of future generations, believe that we don’t have to sacrifice the environment for economics or vice versa.
