Day 72 of #LiveWell2017
Yesterday, we hiked one of our favorite trails with friends. This opportunity reminded me just how very grateful I am to live in a place where there are so many wonderful trails to hike and wonderful friends to hike with.
I’m also grateful that I am still physically able to hike, in spite of a bum foot that makes it challenging at times – and it was a challenge yesterday with the mud, snow, downed trees and steep cliffs to navigate. I know that my good health is partially the result of hiking a lot – putting one foot in front of the other and moving into wilderness, soaking up the goodness of the forests, and reveling in the vistas beyond. Indeed, hiking is good medicine.
