In Portland, Oregon (#PDX), bike shops are everywhere, because bicyclists are everywhere. So, how do you make your bike shop stand out? River City Bicycles found a way… through art. Designer and fabricator Matt Cartwright builds functional art and sculpture – often out of recycled materials and/or old bike parts. This rooftop sculpture of bike people riding off into the sunset is one of his creations. It caught my eye as I was biking through Portland’s Central Eastside one day.
