“The care of the Earth is our most ancient and most worthy, and after all our most pleasing responsibility. To cherish what remains of it and to foster its renewal is our only hope.” ― Wendell Berry

This spiderwort flower (Tradescantia sp.) reaches for the sun early from its place in our garden – it’s delicate, beaded, purple fringe in sharp contrast to the bright yellow stamens. Today I celebrate the beauty of spiderworts.
