It was the most striking aspect of our afternoon hike at the Caloosahatchee Regional Park today – the colors. Cypress trees in brilliant oranges. Maples turned blazing red. Resurrection ferns bright green and open to the sun from the recent rains. A feast for the eyes on a sunny, clear, cool winter day. Beautiful trails. Quiet. Peaceful. Color.

Ralph Waldo Emerson once wrote “Nature always wears the colors of the spirit.

I think he was right. Do you?

    You know my phone can talk to other people better than your camera does, but I have to admit that my phone doesn’t take pictures as well as your camera. And then, of course, there’s your eye for pictures and all that…
