It was the most striking aspect of our afternoon hike at the Caloosahatchee Regional Park today – the colors. Cypress trees in brilliant oranges. Maples turned blazing red. Resurrection ferns bright green and open to the sun from the recent rains. A feast for the eyes on a sunny, clear, cool winter day. Beautiful trails. Quiet. Peaceful. Color.
Ralph Waldo Emerson once wrote “Nature always wears the colors of the spirit.”
I think he was right. Do you?
